Quantity of plants tested: 1
Size of plant tested: small seedling started in May 2000.
Soil texture: sandy loam covered with granite peastone.
When planted: the plants were planted in the ground in June 2001.
Winter protection: poly roof.
Microclimate: warm microclimate, approximately 3 feet off a south facing wall.
Temperature: refer to 2001-2002 winter on this chart
Findings: the plant survived with no damage.  Low temperature under poly was 12F.

  August 8, 2003 - the plant died from the cold winter.
