Eucalyptus microcorys

Quantity of plants tested: 24
Size of plant tested: 1st year seedlings which were 8" to 3' tall by November 2000.
Soil texture: sandy loam and covered with 2" pine bark mulch.
When planted: the seedling were planted in the ground in July 2000.
Winter protection: None.
Microclimate: 14 were planted in an average microclimate, and 10 were planted in a cold microclimate.
Temperature: refer to 2000-2001 winter on this chart
Findings: all the plants died, none resprouted from the roots.

eucalyptus_microcorys_2000_nov22.jpg (36444 bytes) November 22, 2000 - Damage is increasing to the leaves after the 3rd night down to 25F.  This was the least hardiest Eucalyptus we tested this year.
