Size of plant tested: plant about 6" high and 6" in diameter
Soil texture: sandy loam covered with a peastone mulch
When planted: the plant was planted in soil in early Summer 2002.
Winter protection: was located under a poly roof.
Microclimate: warm microclimate, about 4 ft from south facing wall.
Temperature: refer to 2002-2003 winter on this chart
Findings: the plant did fine with no damage.
