When planted: the plant was planted in the ground in August 2001. Winter protection: plastic roof covered plant the entire winter, sides were open. Microclimate: it was planted in a warm microclimate, approximately 2-3 feet off a south facing wall. Temperature: refer to 2001-2002 winter on this chart Findings: the plant did fine with no damage. Low temp was 12F. |

December 1, 2001 - The plant was a slow grower. Seed was started in May 2001. Leaves are quite large when compared to other z6 Delosperma. |

August 8, 2003 - the plant died from the winter cold and never re-grew from the roots. |
