Quantity of plants tested: 1 Size of plant tested: seedling started in May 2000. Soil texture: sandy loam covered with granite pea stone. When planted: the plant was planted in the ground in June 2000. Winter protection: no protection. Microclimate: warm microclimate, approximately 1 foot off a south facing wall. Temperature: refer to 2000-2001 winters on this chart Findings: the plant died, it showed damage when temperatures dropped below 19F.
	September 2000 - This photo shows the plant in September 2000. This was the fastest growing South African succulent plant we have tested so far.
	November 27, 2000 - here's the plant as of November 27, 2000. The plant appears to be highly damaged already. The low temperatures without snow cover has been 12F, 12F, and 14F so far. There did not appear to be any damage after a 19F night.
